Sazerac

Sazerac
Around 1850, Sewell T. Taylor sold the New Orleans bar, The Merchants Exchange Coffee House to Aaron Bird, who changed the name to Sazerac Coffee House. Legend has it that Bird began serving the "Sazerac Cocktail," made with Sazerac Cognac imported by Taylor, and bitters being made buy the local apothecary, Antoine Amedie Peychaud. There are those who say that the Sazerac is the original and oldest American cocktail - a claim that healthy arguments are had over several Sazeracs to this day!

Ingredients:

While we've continued with the classic recipe's Peychaud Bitters, we've added a dash of Angostura Bitters to a fabulous George Dickel Rye whiskey and aged it to perfection!

Includes:

Batched Sazerac cocktails, aging inside the Sourced American White Oak Barrel delivered with hand cut ice rocks and our barrel aged booklet for you to enjoy over a month time period.
